Story
GenBI is the Bank Indonesia scholarship community, and each commissariat is expected to give back through community programmes. At UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, projects were running in parallel with little shared planning.
With a large membership and a short leadership term, the commissariat needed a clear strategy, an evaluation habit and a way to keep every project owner accountable.
As President, I set the organisation's direction and was accountable for coordination across all teams and for evaluating the programmes they ran.
Contribution steps
- 1
Set the strategy
Defined priority themes for the term: education, environmental sustainability, capacity-building, English communication and entrepreneurship.
- 2
Organise the teams
Assigned project leads, agreed on timelines and set a regular rhythm of progress meetings.
- 3
Evaluate and improve
Introduced a short evaluation after each programme so lessons carried into the next one.
