Story
Forlawtous.id runs educational and human capital development programs for law students and young professionals. Its flagship events depended on three separate divisions (Web Development, Content and Event Organization) that each worked to their own calendar.
Class of Insight was planned as the community's most visible event to date, with a speaker from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Registration, promotion and the programme itself all had to line up inside a fixed timeline and budget.
As Director Project Management, I was responsible for the plan end to end: timeline, budget, cross-division coordination and the final run of the event.
A good event is mostly decided before the day itself. Clear owners and honest deadlines did more for us than any last-minute push.
Contribution steps
- 1
Scope and timeline
Set the event goals, a registration target and a working timeline, then agreed milestones with each division lead.
- 2
Budget and speaker
Prepared the budget, confirmed the speaker and aligned the session topic with the audience we wanted to reach.
- 3
Weekly coordination
Ran a short weekly check-in across Web, Content and Event teams so registration pages, promotion and logistics stayed in step.
- 4
Event day and review
Directed the run of show on the day and closed with a written evaluation for the next committee.
